RBC Capital Markets Mosaic x R.A.I.N. Speaker Series

We are excited to announce that R.A.I.N. Career Institute ("RAIN") has established a partnership with RBC Capital Markets Mosaic ("RBCCM Mosaic"). On Friday, September 18th, RAIN and RBCCM Mosaic co-hosted its first speaker panel event where RAIN participants were provided the opportunity to learn about each panelist's background and engage in the discussion via Q&A. Each panelist had a unique international background and the discussion was focused on how they were able to successfully integrate into the North American workforce.

RBCCM Mosaic is an employee-led resource group focused on promoting a safe and inclusive environment for employees of all origins, ethnicities, race, religion, background and education. With ~200 members across 24 individual business groups, RBCCM Mosaic is committed to supporting the retention and advancement of these employees and leveraging the benefits of diversity and inclusion.

Speakers & Moderators:

Ramy Ayash

Analytics Developer, Quantitative Analytics Integration  

Ramy joined RBC in 2017 as a PEY in the Global Derivatives Regulatory Reporting department, where he returned as a full-time Scrum Master. Ramy immigrated to Canada in 2014 from Port Said, Egypt as an international student to begin his post-secondary education at Queen’s University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. He currently sits on RBCCM’s Mosaic Community Outreach Committee as a committee leader.

Jessica Jiang
Operations Manager, Ampli at RBC Ventures
Jessica Jiang is a Manager in the Ampli Operations group at RBC Ventures. Prior to joining RBC Ventures, Jessica worked in both RBC Capital Markets and Wealth Management in Toronto. Jessica came to Canada in 2006 from China and holds a bachelor degree in Mathematics from University of Waterloo.

Hiren Lalloo
Director, Securitization Finance and Co-Chair of RBCCM Mosaic
Hiren is responsible for residential and commercial mortgage securitization through ABCP, RMBS and CMBS programs. In addition, Hiren has worked on synthetic mortgage securitization and covered bond transactions. Prior to joining RBCCM in 2003, Hiren worked at JP Morgan in London, UK and at Deloitte in Southern Africa. He holds an Honors degree in Finance from the University of Cape Town.

Samantha Mok, CFA (Moderator)
Associate, Foreign Exchange Middle Markets
Samantha joined RBC in 2016 as a summer intern in Research and returned full-time in 2017 in the Global Markets Rotational Program. Samantha holds a BBA from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University and is a CFA charter holder. She is currently the Chair of RBCCM Mosaic’s Vancouver chapter and sits on the Mosaic-RAIN sub-committee.
