RBC Capital Markets Mosaic x R.A.I.N. Speaker Series

In partnership with RBC Capital Markets Mosaic ("RBCCM Mosaic"), on Wednesday, November 11th, R.A.I.N. Career Institute ("RAIN") co-hosted its first speaker panel event where RAIN participants were provided with an in-depth look at recruiting within RBC Capital Markets and RBC Ventures.

RBCCM Mosaic is an employee-led resource group focused on promoting a safe and inclusive environment for employees of all origins, ethnicities, race, religion, background and education. With ~200 members across 24 individual business groups, RBCCM Mosaic is committed to supporting the retention and advancement of these employees and leveraging the benefits of diversity and inclusion.

Speakers & Moderators:

Kathryn Tooley
Talent Acquisition Lead for RBC Ventures
Kathryn is the Talent Acquisition Lead for RBC Ventures, a subsidiary of RBC that goes beyond banking to solve problems and transform the way Canadians live their lives. Her goal to drive RBC's business forward by finding the brightest talent while connecting people to a job in which they can thrive. In order to achieve this, she believes it's important to have a variety of world views and a strong diverse workforce. 

Dheeraj Dhull
Manager, Early Talent Acquisition Team
Dheeraj is a Manager in the Early Acquisition Team and leads student recruitment strategies for RBC Capital Markets. He started his career at McMaster University partnering with employers on the implementation of campus recruitment initiatives. Since 2015, he transitioned into a career in HR and subsequently joined RBC in 2018. He finds it energizing to be a part of RBC because as Canada's Top Employers for Young People, the company is always committed to development of young talent.

Kenny Yip
Recruiter, Early Talent Acquisition Team
Kenny started his career at RBC as an Associate in the RBC Career Launch Program. The program provides new graduates the opportunity to learn from and work alongside RBC employees in a wide variety of roles through three different work rotations; client advisory at RBC P&CB, global citizenship at TFSS and HR campus recruitment at RBC Functions. Currently, he is a Recruiter in the Early Talent Acquisition Team at RBC.

Samantha Mok, CFA (Moderator)
Associate, Foreign Exchange Middle Markets
Samantha joined RBC in 2016 as a summer intern in Research and returned full-time in 2017 in the Global Markets Rotational Program. Samantha holds a BBA from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University and is a CFA charter holder. She is currently the Chair of RBCCM Mosaic’s Vancouver chapter and sits on the Mosaic-RAIN sub-committee.
